Metro Canine offers full service, temperament based dog training. Our head trainer, Jackie Cooper, is a graduate of West Virginia Canine College, the nation’s only federally recognized school for dog trainers. She completed both the professional training program and the narcotic detector dog program. She has worked with over sixty breeds ranging from Rottweilers to Chihuahuas and has trained many mixed breeds as well.

Her current and past affiliations include the German Shepherd Dog Club of America, the SV (German German Shepherd club), the Working Dog Association, United Schutzhund Clubs of America, United States Border Collie Club and the Association of Pet Dog Trainers.

We are committed to training that is firmly based in an understanding of canine temperament and tailor our training methods to suit your dog’s temperament. Without an understanding of temperament, effective training is impossible.
